ABOUT US

THE CORROSIVE AIR SOLUTION

Universal Fan specializes in designing and manufacturing axial and centrifugal fans constructed from corrosion grade composite materials for harsh industrial environments - typically waste water treatment, chemical plants, mining, pulp & paper and many other corrosive applications.

Universal began operations in 1988 with a team highly experienced in fan design, system applications and manufacturing who recognized there a was a need for a corrosive resistant fan product in the industrial market. The early years of the company were dedicated to the design of a complete range of FRP composite fans, including the AMCA testing and certification for the majority of the centrifugal models.

Located in Bloomfield, Ontario, Canada, Universal operates in a 16,000 sqft facility dedicated to manufacturing, assembling and testing of FRP composite fans for a multitude of applications. With an emphasis on quality, the facility is certified for the latest ISO9000:2015 to ensure reliable products are delivered to our customers on time and on budget.

We recognize that providing quality products, value, and competitive pricing requires technical expertise and attention to detail. We have built a team dedicated to providing the best possible products and service utilizing state of the art engineering tools.

SUB ZERO TEMPERATURE

FRP composite fans can be designed to exhibit more strength to weight ratio than non reinforced plastics and metals. Lighter weight fans will save transportation and installation costs and will reduce structural requirements for support. Reduced wheel weights give lower moments of inertia and save power at start up.

FRP composites will give superior corrosion resistant performance against a wide range of acids, caustics, chlorides, solvents and odorizers. It will survive environments in which other materials will not, including stainless steel.

FRP composite fans offer longevity and durability in service, minimizing life cycle costs.

FRP composite fan components can be molded into complex shapes to exact aerodynamic form for production repeat-ability.

FRP composites exhibit no reduction in properties at low temperatures. In fact, the colder the temperature, the stronger it gets.
